More tricky than the stock market

I was very proud of myself that I taught Tubeskin two commands.

“Come here.” And “Sit.”

It took a long time (about a year) and a great amount of treats, but Tubeskin eventually learnt it. He was very responsive when I called him over, and would sit when I told him to (with treat on my finger tip). I joked that Tubeskin might secretly be a “Rag-Dog” rather than a “Ragdoll”.

Just when I thought he was the smart one, his clumsiness made me think otherwise.

He would collide into wall and cabinet because he failed to brake on his furry pawn. He would jump in the still hot oven and still not learn that the kitchen is a dangerous place. He would ambush one step down the stair and thought nobody can see him from the above.

Okay, maybe he is not that smart…but WAIT, Tubeskin can do a fake! He knew (yes he definitely knew) we don’t like it when he was in the kitchen, when spotted, he would immediate dash out and make a sharp U-Turn, then walked over slowly as if he was just coming from the living room.

Okay, maybe he is sneakily smart. His wisdom comes when a treat is calling, or when a “crime” trace needs to be covered.
